I’m not a big fan of the excuse “I’m too busy”, as an out for any reason, whether it is starting a business or jumping into any new thing.

You’re not that too busy to begin with, to sell more or to send cold emails; what you are doing is not optimizing your time correctly.

Here I’ll present you with 3 ways to be less busy.

3 Advices on how to optimize your time when you’re too busy

1.      Are you drinking, smoking or doing drugs of any kind?

I was at a company that had a drinking culture, and even if our creativity might have gone up a little bit, our productivity steadily declined.

If you’re drinking at all you should probably cut it out to focus more on your company. Test it for a week or two and see what happens.

2.      How much TV are you watching?

Are you spending 4 to 6 hours at the end of every day watching TV when you could be creating?

Taking 20 or 30 minutes of that time when you’re watching a show to focus on your business or side projects can make a difference.

3.       Hire someone to help if you’re loaded with work

If you’re really that pressed for time that must mean you’re in a very high performing job.

Maybe you are a very high up in a corporation and you just don’t have the bandwidth if you’re working 12 hours a day. If that’s the case, you can hire someone to do work for you.

I actually started X27 Marketing by hiring someone to write content for 25$ an hour, a few months later he became my co-founder and now we’re a team.

It all starts somewhere; you’re not too busy to get started.
